Fountain City Art Center – Call for Exhibition Proposals

The Fountain City Arts Center, located in Knoxville, TN, is currently seeking solo, two-artist, and group exhibition proposals for the 2026 exhibition season. The Fountain City Arts Center gallery includes 92” of wall space (that can accommodate approximately 30-45 2-D pieces), and 13 pedestals for 3-D work. If accepted for an exhibition, shipping or delivery to the FCAC gallery is the responsibility of the artist. Exhibition installation, promotion, and reception with light refreshments, will be provided by the FCAC. Artwork may be available for purchase while on exhibit, and the FCAC retains 30% commission on all sales. The FCAC does not provide insurance for work on exhibit, and artists are encouraged to secure insurance for their own work. 2-D work must be delivered wired and ready to hang.

Proposals will be accepted starting August 15 through October 15, 2025, and reviewed by a committee. The committee will consider both traditional and experimental work made in the following media: painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, collage, photography, sculpture, and craft. The FCAC cannot accommodate installation-based work. Please indicate in your proposal if the images submitted are exact works for the exhibition, works in progress, or examples of past work. Please include in your proposal: 10-15 images, and the title, media, year created, and the dimensions for each image/piece, a biography and artist statement (may include multiple if submitting a proposal for a group or two-artist exhibit), and a brief exhibition proposal or description. Please submit your proposal in the form of a singular PDF or individual files in a Zip folder, and email them to artinfofcac@gmail.com by October 15, 2025 for consideration.
