Drawing on the right side of the brain or tapping into the innate part of your brain that can draw. I use exercises to help the artist change from analytical thinking to artful thinking, tapping into one's natural ability using contour drawing.

I teach still life from my own references - this way, I am sure of the skills that each student acquires. I use still life for all. I teach textures (like glass, metal, cloth, etc.), brush strokes, color theory and color mixing, concept, composition and artistic theory.

Acrylic Paint is a modern water based medium adopted by many artists in all painting genres. It is fast drying, permanent, very forgiving, and extremely versatile. Acrylic Painting Studio is designed to meet each student's skill level from beginner to experienced artists wanting to add to their knowledge of painting. Examples of acrylic techniques taught are dry brush, layering, glazing, highlight, shadow, blending, and textures. Additional techniques will be added on an ongoing basic.
