Have you ever tried to make a painting with a structure in it like a house or a bridge but it just never looks quite right? Then this class is for you. In this class we will be learning one point, two point and three point perspective in a simplified useful way for painters. We will then practice these techniques and discuss when and how to apply them to your work. We will also touch on multiple vanishing points and its uses. This class will be great for water colorists where the painting relies heavily on the drawing but it’s also great for oil and acrylic painters.

Materials:
Large pad
Mechanical pencil
White eraser or kneading eraser
18” ruler
T square (optional but highly suggested)

I teach still life from my own references - this way, I am sure of the skills that each student acquires. I use still life for all. I teach textures (like glass, metal, cloth, etc.), brush strokes, color theory and color mixing, concept, composition and artistic theory.

Learn six basic watercolor techniques to get you started on your watercolor adventure. You will be familiarized with the fundamentals and building blocks of watercolor in this fast paced 2 day workshop.

After a brief review of the necessary supplies and preparations,

Connie will work with you on creating more realistic paintings, by teaching advanced watercolor fundamentals for the subject you have chosen .
